Committed to a career in actuarial science, Éric Deschamps decided to make a 180-degree turn.
On vacation the previous year, he had sailed a kayak on the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Since then, nature's call had never ceased to torment him. At the end of 2015, his decision was made and it will be irreversible: he leaves everything behind, family and friends, to live outdoors in the Gaspé Peninsula.
With a vast and wonderful piece of land at his fingertips, Éric was able to draw inspiration from it in order to take advantage of the immense beauty of his landscapes and wildlife. It is at this precise moment that he decides to acquire a camera in order to capture these privileged and magical moments.
Because of his passion, he sometimes has to take care of a very unusual way of life. Often on the lookout in the early morning or late at night, he does not hesitate to make the sacrifices necessary to get the best out of what nature has to offer. Ambitious, curious and passionate, Éric has made a name for himself in a short time in Canada, the United States and Europe. Proud of his recent, but no less striking, career as a photographer, he shares with you his passion: wilderness photography.
